Situated in Western Southland. We are searching for someone to join our team for the new season.
We milk 300 cows in the peak and also run a 800ha dry stock/dairy support operation.
The perfect person would have experience in the cow shed and some interest in the dry stock operation also. Excellent animal husbandry, the ability to be flexible would be key, good communication, a good team player, efficient with time management, reliable.
Duties on the dairy farm include:
Milking often sole charge, general dairy farm duties, moving effluent pods, feeding out, tractor work, pasture management, animal health.
Duties on the dry stock farm include:
Moving stock on crop and grass, fencing, stock yard work, animal health.
You would be working alongside and in a roster with the farm owners and the dry stock manager.
Comfortable 3 bedroom house with log burner, 2 bay garage.
