The 285ha dairy platform is of flat contour and rectangular shape, with the dairy shed centrally located.
We calve down 790 cows, and milking is through a 50-bale rotary with modern ACR's.
Accommodation is provided on farm in the form of a 3-bedroom house.
The farm is located fifteen minutes north of Winton, Southland.
Farm effluent is applied with a big gun irrigator from a 60-day storage pond. This infrastructure also allows the application of irrigation water to approximately1/3 of the farm during the summer.
We have a 200ha run-off block 20 min away. Contour rolling with some steeper areas.
