We are seeking an Assistant Manager / 2IC for the remainder of the season and the future,who is looking for an extra challenge and opportunity to grow and develop their management skills this position will progress into a management position for the right person. This is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to grow within the industry and continue their development, working closely alongside the contract milker. You will be responsible for running and managing the shed, including detecting and treating mastitis and lameness. You must be confident to work unsupervised and able to take charge when the contract milker is absent, and have excellent communication skills with staff and the contract milker. A minimum of 3 years’ experience on New Zealand dairy farms and a least 1 year in a senior role is required, and experience with in-shed feeding would be beneficial.
