We run two herds of jersey cows through a high tech 54 bail rotary that was only completed in August 2014. The shed has Pro track with automatic drafting, Automatic Yard wash, Mastitis detection and automatic teat spray. It is attached to a 400 cow feed pad with a flood wash system. The farm runs under a system 4-5 and production is rising steadily where last season we achieved 230000 MS.
We have 60 ha runoff just up the road for maize, Youngstock and winter grazing.
We also have a small beef unit near Whangamata that the farm rears 50 Angus cross calves for each year as well as being used for winter grazing of late calving cows.
