We own a 400 cow dairy farm in Mayfield Ashburton. This a Family farm, which we have farmed for 7 years. It is small, but well designed and we love farming in this area.
We have a 24-aside herring bone shed, with in-shed feeding and Allflex Collars. The farm is irrigated with two pivots, a small amount of k-line and effluent is spread through a travelling irrigator.
We also run a second 700 cow farm 15 minutes away.
We have three children, who attend local primary schools. We love dairy farming, and love the lifestyle it brings.
