We are look i ng for an experienced Assistant Farm Manager to join our fantastic team based in Mangakino, 50 m i nutes from Rotorua . A knowledge of organics i s preferred t hough train i ng can be provided. We milk 860 cows through a 44-bai l Rotary shed on a milking p l atform of 297 hectares of rolling to steep farmland with 175 hectares of drystock . You must have a minimum of 6 years of dairy farm i ng experience. Your role inc lu des but is not limited to: m i l king , a nima l h ealth, pas t ure management, understanding the environment and regulations around effluent, water and nutrients. Applicants must be able to operate mach i nery, tractors, feed-out wagon, both 2 and 4-wheel bikes and be able to follow on farm safety policies .
