The Farm We are looking for a highly motivated Farm Assistant for our dairy farm situated in the Franklin District, South Auckland. Located only 1hr to Auckland CBD, we are milking 420 friesian cows, twice a day on a split calving pattern; approximately 90x Autumn calving cows and 330x spring calving cows, on a 120 hectare milking platform. We run a System 5 farm with a covered feed pad and both a Pivot Irrigator and K-Line. We strive for continuously improving our farming systems and doing the best for our cows. We champion good health and safety practice, as well as doing the best that we can do by the environment. We are looking for someone who shares similar values to us and our team. We support our team members, striving to learn and develop themselves and are open to support training and personal development programmes. We operate on 11 on 3 off roster, with three other full time farm staff; an operations manager, a farm manager and a farm assistant, as well as ongoing support from the onsite farm owners.
