Gudsell Farms operations is on the eastern side of Wanganui set in the Okoia valley, with three farms bordering the city boundary. The operation consists of three dairy units milking 1200 Friesian cross herd through herringbone sheds with in-shed feeding. Both farms are supported by a run-off in the valley carrying the replacement stock. This position is supporting the Contract Milker on the 110ha dairy farm, milking 250 cows, through a 24 a side herringbone shed with cup removers. Gudsell Farms work’s closely with AGC Training to support people training in agriculture, animal technology with a construction site all based with-in the farming operation. You will need to have empathy towards the education and training of people to be successful in this role.
