JOB DESCRIPTION: Stock Management •    Follow animal health programmes to maintain good health. Observes and report to senior staff any animals that need treatment. Move cows in an acceptable manner. Assist in calf rearing and winter grazing quietly and calmly. Feed Management •    Ensure that fences are put up correctly with power working. Carry out feed-out instructions so wastage is minimised, and all cows will have access to feed. Assist in the implementation of an effective weed control programme.  Milk Harvesting •    Follow dairy procedure so only high-quality milk is collected. Ensure that milking is completed to the required standards. Dairy plant and equipment are cleaned and maintained by following dairy plant hygiene requirements. Knows factors that will affect milk quality and safety regulations. On farm training will be provided. Environment •    Helps in keeping the farm tidy.
