Our flat, system 3 farm backs on to Edgecumbe township so it's super handy to services and a full range of schooling from pre school through to secondary school.
Our runoff 8km away is used for supplements & wintering. Calves are grazed on & heifers are grazed off. We're all AI mating for 10 weeks on the cows. We do 2 rounds of AB on our heifers (1st round is synchronised) and tail off with bulls.
We have a no dogs out on farm policy.
An additional full time staff member helps over calving & mating & does our relief milking & other part time jobs.
