High soil fertility with Olsen phosphate levels all over 50 and ph over 6.0. Despite the high levels, fertilizer is applied in spring and autumn. Re-grassing is undertaken through a turnip crop, one paddock per annum. All cropping work, fertilizer spreading, weed control, and harvesting are essentially done by independent contractors. Typically 200 balage bales and 1600 conventional hay harvested annually. The farm has a workshop( with welder and compressor) and a 120 cow cubicle wintering barn.
