We are operating 2 Dairy Farms just north of Morrinsville in a small village named Springdale. The home farm is 107ha total milking ~300 cows through a 16 aside cowshed with flexible milking. This is a pasture-based system with using grass silage and a small amount of PKE during Summer & Autumn. The Herd is a darker kiwi cross herd. Production target is ~115,000kgMS with low SCC and good herd health. We rear 70 replacement calves each year which are on farm until 1st May. We are currently looking to find a herd manager/Farm Manager for the home farm. You will have the full-time support of the owner from June-Dec and then be more independent post xmas.
