The farm is a 63 Ha with 19 Ha of runoff, milking a herd of 220 Jersey cows. The farm is well subdivided and all paddocks are served by troughed water, races and mains powered electric fences. Grass management is assisted by hay sheds, 2 silage pits used for maize, palm kernel barn and bins. The current farming model can be described as system 2, with all grass feeding plus some bought in feed to fill seasonal deficits. Effluent is irrigated on to 10 Ha of the grazing area. Mating is by AB followed by bulls. Heifers are grazed off for 12 months. Some stock are wintered off on runoffs. The farm hilly and is well subdivided.
