An attractive dairy farm (99Ha grazing platform) with 2 houses (the farm owners live in one), a 40 bail rotary cowshed with ACRs and a 2800m2 cow barn (for all year round supplement feeding and for wintering in and for summer use). We specialise in growing grass and efficiently producing lots of milk. Current production 'pre-barn' (2018-19) is 141,600KgMS from 302 cows. We are budgeting this year's production at 150,000KgMS, and next season's at 160,000KgMS, with the farm potential from 300 cows at perhaps 180,000KgMS. We are moving to grow 20Ha of maize silage on farm, while using some PKE.

We are looking for applicants with proven pasture management skills, and proof that they can quickly learn and apply new skills, along with excellent attitudes to work, relationships and incorporating new practices.
This sharemilking position would ideally suit a couple that are both involved in running the farm, but an additional worker from July to Christmas would be ideal.
The contract percentage of the milk cheque for the sharemilkers will be based on an agreed expected financial outcome for the sharemilkers, with the possibility of a contracted low milk price backstop agreement.
The current sharemilkers gave us notice in July that they do not wish to renew their current contract when it expires on 31 May 2020, as they plan to retire from milking cows. We are very happy with them and we would love to have them continue to run the farm.
