J.D & R.D Wallace are a 2-family partnership which own a number of farms within the Cambridge/ Te Awamutu area and also own/lease a number of farms within the wider Waikato region. The scale of the group helps provide on-going training, farm discussion, social group events and job progression within all levels of your career.
Gamma Farm is 320ha of flat peat accompanied by a runoff that provides through the gate grazing. A 50-bale standard rotary helps us milk up to 980 cross bred cows. 5 full time staff and 2 part time workers are employed including myself the Equity Manager. A Trainee manager is employed to run the farm to free up the Equity manager while on Operational Manager duties elsewhere. This scenario opens up the many opportunities for the Herd Manager to be part of all the managerial duties at Gamma Farm.
