The farm is located 8km from the Carterton township. This season we are currently milking 240 cows through a 20 aside herringbone cowshed. The farm is Spring calving and is mainly pasture based with summer crops and gaps filled during the year with the use of silage, baleage and PKE. The farm has a milking platform of 90 ha made up of 60 ha flat and 30 ha easy to medium hills. Young stock are grazed off farm.
Production over the last 4 seasons has increased from 65,000 kgms to 85,000 kgms following development of some of the hill paddocks. There is the possibility of further improvements to the hill paddocks.
