180ha of rolling land, with covered feed pad and 40 bale rotary with inshed feeding. We aim to produce as much milk as possible as efficiently as we can in system 5 system, while maintaining a healthy respect for our cows. We get our replacements from bought in empty cows so don't milk heifers. We don't do AB but run bulls and sell all calves at 4 days old. You will work with the long term contract milker to help manage the farm and staff, under the close guidance of our progressive farm consultant. Ideally you will be proficient in all aspects of a progressive NZ dairy farm, but we can provide training to fill any gaps in your knowledge, as we value attitude above experience. You can start immediately, however we will hold the job open until the right person is able to start if necessary.
