The cow shed is a 40ashb with ACR’s, PROTRAC and in-shed feeding. A 400 cow feed pad is also utilised.
The 230ha farm is made up of thirds; flat, rolling and steep. The flats are predominantly clay with the balance being Mairoa Ash.
The 70ha support block is 30% mowable with the balance being rolling to steep.
Production sits between 195,000 and 205,000kg ms/year with the use of OAD milking from Nov/Dec.
