Kereru farm is under conversion to Organics and will be fully certified on 01 November 2019. The farm is flat to gentle rolling and is situated near the Waikato River and Lake Whakamuru. This farm was converted from forestry 8 years ago, and soils and pasture are improving at an encouraging rate. The farm infrastructure, machinery, races, fences, support buildings and houses are excellent. The farm dairy is a 52 bail rotary, with cups removers, auto mastitis detectors and protrack. This is a fully self contained unit and all young stock are maintained on the property. Necessary animal handling and weighing facilities are provided to make 6 weekly young stock weighing a straight forward task.
We provide numerous opportunities for informal and formal training, with Primary ITO, Dairy NZ and other Organic farming related courses.
