We are looking for a milk harvester The successful applicant must be a team player who is reliable, has a positive attitude , great work ethic and reliable transportation. Experience is preferred but full training will be provided. Applicants must be willing to take a drug test. We are very flexible and are happy to have 1 person for the morning and 1 person for the afternoon or someone who would like to do both- the roster- days on/ off will be worked around the successful applicant. We split calve 1000 cows through a 52 aside herringbone- When all cows are in, milking takes 4.5 hours morning and 4 hours at night. Hours are (approx.) : 4am- 8.30am and 1pm- 5.00pm Hourly rate will reflect experience. Location- 10-15mins from Feilding. 5 mins from Halcombe.

25.9.24- We are looking for a farm assistant or a milk harvester. We require a farm assistant to assist with the day to day running of a split calving 1000 cow Halcombe dairy farm with modern facilities. We have a great team and we are looking for the right people, as team culture is really important to us. Duties will include, but are not limited to, Milking cows, vat wash, drafting stock, feeding calves, maintaining calf sheds, collecting calves, setting up paddocks, temporary fencing, general maintenance including weed control. You need to be able to ride a 2 and 4 wheel motorbike and have the ability to drive a tractor. Previous experience required. The successful applicant must be honest, reliable, enthusiastic, motivated and positive. They must have excellent communication skills. We are not accredited employers so applicants must be NZ residents. The applicants must be willing to undergo a drug test.
