We are a OAD farm located 15-20 minutes out of Palmerston North, milking approximately 620 cows through a 50 ASHB, with collars and automatic drafting gate. Operating on a system 3/4. We are looking for a hard working person to join our family run farm. You must be able to work unsupervised, keep a tidy workplace and house, clean up after yourself, take pride in your work and have satisfaction in doing a job well. We need someone who is clean, capable and observant in the cow shed, we will offer incentives for keeping SCC low.   You will be working alongside the farm owners and one other full time staff member, you will be required to supervise relief milkers and vet students.  This will be our first season on this farm and we will be completing some development work to help the farm run more efficiently within our system. We are looking for a competent and 100% reliable employee for our dairy farm on the outskirts of Woodville (Manawatu_Whanganui Region).We milk 310 cows through a 20a-side herringbone shed with in-shed feeding system. As we are a small team (2 full time staff plus relief milker) we like everyone to be able to do all the tasks required to ensure the smooth running of the farm, so you will get the opportunity to learn all you need to progress your dairy career. What we are looking for in a team member would be someone with good common sense and who is quiet with stock, preferably from a farming background, with excellent animal health & husbandry and general on-farm skills including tractor experience, good time management skills and not afraid to get stuck in and get the job done.
