We are seeking an experience full time farm assistant. Main duties will include milking, stock work, break fences, tractor work, feeding out supplements, effluent application, spraying weeds, fixing fences, and calf rearing. Some shed responsibility will also be required, for example experience with plant washes and/or vat washes. Animal husbandry experience, able to identify and treat sick animals, whether its mastitis, lameness, milk fever cows etc. Ability to identify that , that animal looks unwell. Two years general experience would be great. You will be working alongside with farm owner, 2 x staff and/or independently. Applicant must have NZ work experience. We run a 400 cow herd through a 36ASHB Milking Pedigree Jerseys milking OAD. System 3, with silage, crops and PKE/Mix.
