Dairy Assistant   We are an unirrigated rolling hill country farm on the Hunter Hills in Otaio. We run a team of 5 staff, calf rearers and Tony (farm owner) who is the manager. This is a great place to work as we have a very neat and tidy farm with best practice in all areas of farming and compliance. Peak milking 1180 cows through an 80 bail rotary shed with cup removers and in shed feeding. 25 mins for both Timaru and Waimate. We are looking for a keen dairy farm assistant to start work at the as soon as possible. Applicants must be living in New Zealand with a good level of spoken English. You will need a driver’s license and expect to live rurally, as we are inland from St Andrews in South Canterbury. Due to our new staff member not working out and needing to leave us with no notice, we are on the search again for a Senior Farm Assistant to join our team on our Autumn Calving Dairy Farm located in Waimate North, Northland, we are located 15mins south of Kerikeri and Waipapa township in a good dairy farming location. We ideally require a person with a couple of years experience to assist in the operation of our high performing dairy farm, you will work with 3 other fulltime staff including the sharemilkers on farm. We use a covered feedpad as part of operation most days of the year, so experience in loading and feeding out would be an advantage. Cowshed is a 40 bail rotary with cup removers and Protrack drafting system included. Land is flat of gentle rolling. The hard part of the season is over with calving all but complete and mating started.
