Auchinbee Farm is a family owned dairy farm located in the fertile Greenvale area of Waikaka, located around 25 kms north of Gore. We are currently seeking a Farm Manager for the property, running a peak herd of 285 jersey cross cows. We would also encourage applications from working couples as the Manager position is supported for calf rearing, relief and mating, and is currently run with a husband & wife team on farm. Cows are milked through a 21 aside herring bone shed with in-shed feed system, and are wintered on farm in a Redpath Wintering Barn located close to the cowshed. The farm has a recently upgraded effluent system including new pond liner, stirrer and modern travelling irrigator with digital monitoring. Young stock are grazed off site from weaning under contract grazing, returning in May as in-calf heifers. Cows are milked twice a day from Spring, and then to 16 hours (3 in 2) generally in January.
