We are looking for a highly dependable person to join our progressive team. Our farming operation milks 300 autumn calving Holstein Friesian cows through a 21 aside herringbone shed on 150 hectares in Te Kopuru. We rear approximately 120 calves annually consisting of heifer replacements and beef steers. We recently have installed Halter on farm and have an increased focus on work/life balance. Our milking schedule is seasonal: we milk once a day during the first month of calving and twice a day for 7 months. We do 3 in 2 milkings in December before going back to once a day over the Christmas period until dry off. The core role of this job is calf rearing and afternoon milking. Roster is somewhat negotiable but ideally would be 10 days on 4 days off, working approximately 40hrs/fortnight.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone who: - has a genuine passion about farming - is enthusiastic, motivated and enjoys milking cows and rearing calves.
