Westholm Dairies is seeking a new herd manager to join our team form 1st Feb 2025. We The farm is located 7km south of Tapanui, West Otago. We currently milk 680 cows on a 246ha platform through a 54-bale rotary shed. The shed is equipped with protrack, acr's, Cow Manager, SCC meters. Along with the dairy herd we look after all our young stock on farm at the attached runoffs and bring some stock in for grazing. The runoff stock also includes a small angus stud. Everything is wintered on farm so keeps us busy for the winter period.  We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in New Zealand dairy farming system.  Must be currently living in New Zealand and have a current work visa or be a New Zealand citizen. The applicant must be able to operate machinery and have a full drivers license.  We run a 4 on 2 off roster for most of the year apart from calving which is a 6 on 1 off.
