Someone who is passionate about farming, wants to progress and take the reins and make decisions! I milk 310 cows through a 30 a/s herringbone and run all calves on farm. Jobs include everything from milking, general farm maintenance, tractor work, shed hygiene, pasture management and also helping with some of the bigger decisions made on farm. This role could suit someone who would like to transition into a management position, I can help you grow into the role and help you gain the experience/confedence to run a tidy productive farm. We are looking for a keen, energetic junior farm assistant to join our team in Lichfield. Our ideal candidate would have a minimum of one full season under their belt, with knowledge and experience with milking and general day to day running.   We milk 700 cows through a 40 ASHB with ACRS, inshed feed and auto drafting. Farm is rolling to steep, and you must be capable of riding a two-wheeler. Your main duties as a junior farm assistant are the daily tasks of milking, feeding and shifting cows, setting up fence breaks, getting in cows and calves during calving, general farm maintenance.   This position would be ideal for someone who is wanting to build experience to progress in the industry. We are passionate farmers who have a lot of time when it comes to helping people succeed and expand their knowledge. We run an 8/2 roster over calving and 11/3 roster the rest of the season.

Job start 01/06/2025  and we are on the lookout for an awesome farm assistant to join our team. We are looking for an experienced 2IC for our 56ha / 220 cows farm. We are a mainly autumn calving farm with only a few to calve in spring. We are based 5 min. out of Putaruru/ 7 min. out of Tirau You will be working alongside the farm owner. Milking is through a 26 aside herringbone shed. We are a system 5 farm. Experience with feeding out on a feed pad and being in sole charge in the milking shed is a must.
