Located in the Tirau district in the Waikato, Piarere Holdings is a 50/50 sharemilking business which operates the dairy farm.
Piarere Holdings is looking for a Herd Manager to join their team. The preferred applicant will be favourable if they have:
-have a minimum of 2 years experience in NZ farming
- have completed primary ITO level 3
- have assisted with training of junior staff
- have experience with plant management
- have experience with pasture management
Key activities in this role (but are not limited to); milking cows (responsible for plant set up/cows in and out of shed/plant and dairy hygiene), feed management (responsible for shifting irrigators/management of cows allocated to paddocks/fert spreading/break fencing), general care of stock (responsible for stock care/animal health treatments), farm maintenance (responsible for weed spraying/tidy work environment), stock records, staff management (assists with staff supervision and coaching), health n...
