The effective farm area is approximately 270 ha and the plan is for the farm to be fully self-contained. Farm contour is gentle to rolling, with some steeper areas utilised for youngstock grazing. After 4 years our current staff are retiring from farming so we are after a couple (1 full time 1 full time over calving part time the rest) or 2 x singles to join our team just outside otautau for the 25/26 season. We are a family friendly farm. June 1st 2025 start Milking 550 cows through a 46ashb. We run a pretty simple system but do have a drafting gate and feed system.  Have a runoff 2mins down the road where we winter a portion of the herd.  Run a 11 on 3 off roster and a 6 and 1 over calving (6 weeks) this suits us best but open to discussion. 3brm home with heat pump. School bus at gate for primary school. 5mins to otautau, 20mins to Riverton/Winton and 40mins to invercargill. We also have a kindergarten 15mins away in Drummond.  We require someone to be drug free, have a valid New Zealand driving licence.
