We are looking for an experienced contract milker or couple that is willing to work with the Trust to develop this 110 effective ha farm to achieve greater performance. The 110 effective ha flat dairy farm + 15ha support block is located in Waimana Bay of Plenty. Milking 290 cows at peak, with 70 R1 & R2s raised on farm. Target production for the new season is 105,000mskgs with a 3 year 103,000mskg average under the previous contract milker. The farm was purchased 8 years ago and recent upgrades includes a new 3 bedroom house, a recently renovated 3 bedroom house, newly consented effluent system and stockyards. The shed is an old 15 aside HB shed in reasonable condition. The farm is predominately an all grass system with only 40 – 50t of palm kernel brought in each season at calving.
