PLEASE NOTE: We have this position listed as a Farm Assistant, however we are open to employing someone of any skill level if they are well suited to our team. Our farm is located on the Mossburn Five Rivers Road, where we milk 1000 cows on a 420ha block through a 60 bale rotary shed, that has ACR’s, auto teat spray and in shed feeding. We have a centre pivot which goes over 200ha of our dairy unit which is our saving grace come summertime. We are responsible for looking after our own young stock on an attached run off block (250 calves, 250 yearlings). This includes feeding, drenching, weighing etc We winter our cows on farm on Kale and balage. Cows are calved down on a balage diet We run a 3 on, 2 off, 7 on, 2 off roster (every fortnight is the same) Tuesday, Wednesday one week and Sunday, Monday the other week is the current Rostered days off for this position.
