Windley Lands LTD is looking for a new team member to join 2 other people in the day to day running of our runoff block. Located 15kms out of Mossburn  Windley is a large scale operation with flat/rolling and some steep land that deals with calves, heifers, bulls and dry cows.  You will be working along side the farm manager and 2IC to provide the best environment for animals to thrive for the future.  Job entails  Shifting stock - temporary fences Wintering- winding up and setting fences, tractor driving etc. Yard work - Drenching, weighing, loading and unloading stock. Animal health, treating and recording. Tractor driving - Feeding silage, loading unloading bales. We provide a 2 bedroom cottage, heat pump, double glazed windows. We ride 2 wheelers on farm so some experience on 2 wheelers is preferred. Job would be suited for a young fit motivated  person with 2-3 years experience in farming. C.V. sent to [email protected]

We require an honest reliable Herd Manager with 2 years’ experience or a bachelor’s degree Level 7 qualification relevant to agriculture to join our team in Southland. Duties include but not limited to   Milking:              Manages efficient and hygienic milking routine Animals:             Handles stock in a safe manner, treats records and reports any health or welfare issues Feed:                    Manages pasture and crop feed allocations sets breaks and feeds in conjunction with owner. Environment:      Follows farm policy on nutrient, effluent and water management Machine, Vehicle and Technology: Operates machinery following safe handling practices and maintenance plans Applicants require a criminal free record and maybe subject to pre employment and random drug testing.Guaranteed 30 hours per week minimum Please apply with a current CV including dairy farm related references.
