Key duties and responsibilities: The successful applicant will be involved in the daily operation of the dairy farm, including: *Milking cows and operating the dairy shed efficiently and hygienically *Monitoring animal health and reporting or assisting with treatment of sick or injured stock *Moving and handling stock safely using modern farm systems, including Halter technology *Feeding stock and assisting with pasture allocation and feed management *Calf rearing and care of young stock *Assisting with mating, calving and other seasonal farm tasks *Cleaning and maintaining the milking shed, farm equipment and work areas *Fencing, weed control and general farm maintenance *Assisting with effluent management and maintaining farm hygiene standards *Keeping basic farm records as required *Following workplace health and safety procedures and animal welfare standards *Supporting the Farm Manager in the day-to-day running of the farm.
