We are looking for an assistant dairy farm manager on our 600 cow farm in Mamaku. The successful candidate will require the following minimum experience and skills: two and a half years dairy farming experience in NZ, capable in managing the daily tasks when the farm manager is absent, good knowledge of pasture management, animal health, shed hygiene, effluent management, weed control, health and safety, and rearing and managing young stock, experience in animal husbandry and be quiet with stock, confident and capable in driving a tractor and operating different equipment when required, honesty and reliability, excellent communication skills, great work ethic, and a team player attitude. The successful candidate will also need to supply their own motorbike.
