We require someone who’s experienced, with proven performance in staff management, shed management, animal husbandry, tractor driving and pasture management. The farm is situated in the Heddon Bush area, 15 minutes from Winton, 10 minutes from Otautau.   Here we are a system 5 dairy farm milking 690 predominantly Friesian cows through a 54 Bail Rotary shed with in shed feeding, ACRs and Auto teat spray.     All cows are wintered on farm in a wintering barn. We are looking for a herd manager for our contract milking business 12 minutes outside of Winton to start on the 1st of June. We milk approximately 500 cows through a 50 bail rotary.  We have our run off 2 km out of Mossburn which we drive daily between June July so full driver license is a must. Responsibilities and duties include:  day-to-day milking, weed control, animal health, animal records, feed management, milk plant maintenance and records, young stock, tractor driving, effluent irrigation system management.
