Growth in the business means we’re creating a new Machinery Operator role to take ownership of machinery operations across our farms. This full-time position is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys getting stuck in, and takes real pride in keeping things running smoothly. This role is varied and self-directed. You’ll lead and carry out a wide range of machinery and general farm tasks, including: Cultivation and ground preparation, spraying, fertiliser spreading,  digger operation, drainage work, drilling and regrassing, track maintenance, landscaping, machinery upkeep and welding/fabrication general fencing and feeding out. We are seeking an Irrigation/Maintenance and Tractor Driver operator to fill this role on our 1200 cow dairy farm in Duntroon, North Otago. We are looking for a motivated, hard working, experienced team player to join our team. This successful applicant will have the r esponsibility of overseeing and running the fresh water irrigation on farm, as well as managing the effluent disposal system daily. They will carry out all tractor driving including mowing, feeding out silage/PK and as well as completing any other tractor work needed on farm daily. Also looking after and maintaining farm facilities and gear. To be on hand when needed for general livestock work also.
