We are seeking an enthusiastic person to join our team for the coming season. Job start date 1 July. We begin calving 23rd July. Farm situated just 10 minutes from Feilding. Typical duties include milking through a 60 bale rotary, feeding out, tractor work and general farm maintenance. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wanting to work on a modern farm with great facilities and gain experience using Halter/cow collars. You will be operating a four wheeler motor bike and performing tractor work. Full training will be provided. Preferably you will have at least one year of farming experience in NZ. Requirements: Previous experience working on a dairy farm or exposure to agricultural work is preferred, but not essential. We require a senior farm assistant to assist with the day to day running of our 930 cow Spring calving dairy farm 12 minutes out of Bulls Manawatu. We have a great team and we are looking for the right person who will fit in as team culture is really important to us. The successful applicant must be honest, reliable, enthusiastic, motivated and positive. The successful applicant must have excellent communication skill, a minimum of 1 year dairy farming experience.  Duties and responsibilities include: milking, animal health, feeding out, calving, mating and general farm maintenance.  The applicants must be willing to undergo a drug test. In search of reliable hard worker to milk 300 cows in a 30 aside herringbone. situated in the Manawatu approx. 10mins from Palmerston North or Feilding Accommodation  available on farm or willing to travel.
