Due to medical issues with one of our staff we are requiring, with immediate start, a dairy assistant for our dairy farm operation. Tractor Operator & Farm Maintenance – Haupiri Dairy Farms & Runoff (West Coast, South Island) Position Overview We’re looking for a reliable, practical, and experienced operator to join our Haupiri dairy farming team. This role covers tractor operation, general farm maintenance, and support across both the dairy farms and runoff. You’ll be hands‑on with day‑to‑day operations including feeding out, cultivation, fertiliser application, spraying, and pasture/ crop establishment. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Calving Season Assistant to join our dairy farm team from 1st August until mid-October , with the possibility of longer work if needed. This is a short-term seasonal role during our busy calving period and would suit someone who has an interest in dairy farming and is willing to learn. The role will involve: Picking up and caring for calves Feeding calves General farm work Helping with other day-to-day farm jobs as required Experience in dairy farming would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We are happy to hear from someone with a great attitude who is reliable, a quick learner, physically fit, and able to follow instructions. Good English communication skills are important.
