We are looking for a Assistant manager who can confidently run one of the 2 dairy sheds of the farm. The farm is located 15 minutes from gore and 5 minutes from Riversdale. The farm has 430ha all flat and has 2 sheds, A 50 and 54 bale rotary both are ACR and have PROTRACT drafting gate. Each shed will have 1 2IC, 1 herd manager and 1 assistant herd manager( reliever). the farm will calved 1200 cows this season and will get split evenly on both sheds after calving. We require an experienced dairy farmer to assist us milking 1500 cows in a great location 50mins south of Queenstown. Duties will include milking, feeding/shifting milkers and young stock, shifting irrigation, as well as all other general farm work. This full-time position is for a Herd manager role with a start date of the 15/09/26. Remuneration is negotiable depending on the successful applicants work experience and levels of responsibility at previous employment. A current work VISA, a New Zealand bank account and two years plus dairy farming experience is necessary. Having a positive attitude and the ability to work well as a part of a diverse team are a must.
