Our clients are looking for a motivated, reliable person to join their Waikato farming operation in a flexible drive-in role. Conveniently located between Morrinsville and Hamilton, this position offers 30–40 hours per week across four days, with some flexibility around how those hours are worked. The operation includes a 100-hectare dairy farm milking 320 crossbred cows through a 26-bale rotary with in-shed feeder, supported by a 66-hectare run-off used for grazing, dairy beef, maize, and grass silage production. Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing. We rear ~70 replacement calves and they stay on farm until 1st May. This is a great opportunity to work with the farm owners and set yourself up for a great career in dairying.
