We are looking for a Assistant manager who can confidently run one of the 2 dairy sheds of the farm. The farm is located 15 minutes from gore and 5 minutes from Riversdale. The farm has 430ha all flat and has 2 sheds, A 50 and 54 bale rotary both are ACR and have PROTRACT drafting gate. Each shed will have 1 2IC, 1 herd manager and 1 assistant herd manager( reliever). the farm will calved 1200 cows this season and will get split evenly on both sheds after calving. We are looking for a motivated 2IC to work alongside farm owner. We are looking for someone with experience, motivation and passion. Someone with the ability to step into farm manager Must currently be in New Zealand. Must have at least 2-year dairy experience. Must be able to speak We milk 330 through 25ASHB based at Glenham. 40km from Invercargill 30 km from Gore. We also run 410 cow fully self-contained sharemilking job next door. We are hand on owners that work alongside our staff day in day out. We all work together on both farms to get the jobs done. Duties Include, Milking unsupervised, Calf rearing, weed control, Crop shifting, Effluent management, young stock work at runoff, Fencing and other farm duties.
