We milk 650 cows in a modern 50-bale rotary, running two herds. Our farm is relatively flat with the odd rolling hill. We use cow manager ear tags for heat and health detection and automatic drafting. In this role you will assist in the day to day running of the farm including milk and shed hygiene, effluent irrigation, break fencing, general maintenance and repairs and other farm duties. We are seeking to appoint an additional Farm Assistant to work in a 4 person team milking 750 cows at Tahuna, 20kms north of Morrinsville. We are flexible in that the position would equally suit someone who has either 2 - 3 years experience, or equally a person who has some knowledge of dairy farming but may have limited experience so far. Milking duties will be on a roster and in a 54 bail rotary with full automation.

We operate a 600 cow split calving Dairy Farm 8kms from Matamata. Cows are milked through a 44 ashb shed and fed year round on an adjacent feed pad via a mixer wagon. Farm has good infrastructure and machinery. We seek the services of an enthusiastic person, who has a proven work record and ability with both stock and machinery, .
