Brightview Farms are on the lookout for 3 Calf Rearers and Tractor Drivers for our sheep, beef and Dairy  support blocks. Our farming operation is located in Western Southland, with the Dairy and Drystock/Support blocks located within 5 minutes of the Wairio/Nightcaps area.  The operation consists four support blocks, 10,000 su support farm (600ha of support blocks and are within a 10 minute radius of the dairy farms. Previous agricultural experience is preferred and will consider anyone that has operated heavy machinery  Key Responsibilities - Calf Rearer Calf Rearing feeding and nutrition, preparing and feeding colostrum, milk and/or milk replacer, ensuring a constant supply of fresh water, meal and hay Monitoring for signs of sickness or dehydration, administering treatments or reporting issues to the operations manager Handling and transport, safely lifting and moving newborn calves in around the calf sheds and for 'bobby' transportation Hygiene and...

Experienced Calf Rearer required, 4km North of Gore on Waimea Hwy. Rearing 300 replacements & selling 4 day old beef calves. You would be working with another to help reduce workload for a good work environment. This job starts beginning of Aug and runs until the end of September. Excellent purpose built calf sheds with underground milk line from dairy shed. Understanding of best practice animal health and growing good quality stock a must. Hours will be flexible and negotiable.
