Note - Not all applicants will be contacted and you must be available for an on-farm interview Seeking 1 person for the 2025/26 season & beyond.   Applicant preferably someone who has done 2yrs of dairy farming on an irrigated property, but would be ok with taking someone who has done less but is motivated to learn and can do the very basics - setting a fence, drive a tractor. Farm details: The dairy platform is approx.190ha, with all run-off land on the boundary or in close proximity. We are located 5mins or 5km from the centre of Waimate , South Canterbury. Peak milk 780-800 cows through 40 aside herringbone, allflex & halter collars, in-shed feeding & pro-track. Irrigation: Most of the farm is under pivot, however there is K-Line that will also be moved twice a day for 5 days a week in peak irrigations season. Cows are milked twice daily – 4/4.30am & 2pm cups on for most of season. 1/3 of cows go once a day from end of April. Typical breaks...

We are on the look out for a relief milker/ and or a calf rearer for the 26/27season.  Role will be assisting in milking the ladies, twice daily until end of December then back to once a day   You will always be milking with someone else in the shed, who will do plant wash etc, depending on person we may train up to do vat wash, etc if that is something they are interested in.  This role can be flexible with days depending on what the successful applicate requires  Pay will depend on experience of applicate This role is a drive in position, 10 minutes to Kurow and Duntroon and 40 minutes to Oamaru
