Fulltime farm assistant required to cover the Rostered days off of our 3 permanent staff. You will work 10 days a fortnight  as part of the team doing all jobs through the busy spring calving and mating period. The accommodation is one 4 bedroom house to share with our other farm assistant, a young single guy. You must be in New Zealand, and be able to be interviewed on farm to look at the role. We have a good team but need one more person and look forward to the chance for one more person to join our team to spread the load. The position starts at the start of calving. We are on the hunt for a calf rearer to join our team to assist with the coming season, rearing 250 replacements and the remainder being bobby calves, we need someone with good attention to detail and a good understanding of calf health. you will be working closely with the on farm team. We have exceptional facilities and systems in place, with open minds to new ideas. a good sense of humour is a must, along with punctuality and physical fitness. hours and roster are negotiable, there could be milkings available if required once calf rearing hours decrease.

Plateau farm We are looking for a reliable and motivated Calf Rearer to join our team. Our farm milks 800  cows  on  315 hectares  and rears approximately  260 replacement heifers and jersey bull calves each year. This role involves feeding and caring for calves, monitoring animal health, maintaining clean calf-rearing facilities, and helping ensure calves achieve excellent growth and welfare standards. We are looking for a reliable and motivated relief milker/farm hand to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with animals, takes pride in their work and is happy to help wherever needed on the farm. Previous dairy experience is preferred. Looking for a capable person in the shed to help milk 480 cows through a herringbone shed with one of my friendly staff members. Some experience would be preferred but not necessary. We have an onsite 2 bedroom house available if required.  This would be a fixed term contract to help us through the busy part of the season from 1st August to 31st December.
