We are looking for someone to take the lead as a calf rearer, with assistance from our other farm staff. We will be rearing approximately 150 replacement heifer calves plus a few beef calves across two neighbouring farms. Position to start 13th July, for about 10 weeks.  Ideally a 6 : 1 position with Sundays off. There is also a possibility of taking on some relief milkings through the rest of the season if desired. Please note that this is a drive in position, or there could be potential for shared accomodation for a single person. Must be physically fit, have a NZ Working Visa and reside in NZ.

This position is part time, fixed term. Daily tasks include:  feeding and care of calves, m onitoring calf health and wellbeing, c leaning and maintaining calf-rearing facilities, a ssisting with all general calf management tasks as part of a team. Previous calf-rearing experience is essential as well as g ood stock sense and attention to detail with animal welfare, the a bility to work independently and as part of a team, r eliable, hardworking, and physically fit, competent in using a 4 wheeler and S-B-S.  The successful applicant must be living in New Zealand, NZ residents only, have a current drivers licence and own reliable vehicle.
