Milking : Assist with the milking of 650 jersey cross cows through a 36 aside herringbone shed Calf Rearing:  Feeding and monitoring the health of 250+ calves, and preserving a clean and healthy                                  environment Farm maintenance ; including the up-keep of machinary, fences, waterlines and weed control Stock management : Moving and drafting stock, and setting up of break fences. Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing. We rear ~70 replacement calves and they stay on farm until 1st May. This is a great opportunity to work with the farm owners and set yourself up for a great career in dairying. We are looking for an employee to assist on our dairy farm near Cambridge for 3 months while one of the farm owners has surgery.  This is a fixed term contract on an hourly rate. This role would suit a NZ Resident or someone with a student visa or working holiday visa.  The farm is 108 hectares, milking approximately 315 cows at peak.  We milk twice a day through a 23 aside herringbone cowshed with cup removers, Protrack and Allflex Collars.  We require someone who is reliable and honest  and who is able to assist the farm owner/senior employee from late August to end of November (3 months). The role will include milking cows, feeding calves, setting up breaks for cows, cleaning equipment/facilities and other general farm work. We offer a friendly team environment and with good facilities.

Our herd manager will be taking maternity leave at the end of the year and we are looking for a relief staff member who would like to gain more experience on farm while she is away! We are milking 500 fresian cows in a 40 a/s herringbone . Located near Arapuni. The job would require twice a day milkings. We are looking for someone dedicated, responsible with reliable transportation and a lack of excuses. We are a fun young team and love to have a laugh and reach our goals. There is plenty of work available for an employee outside of milkings if looking to gain more hours during the day on farm. This position would need at least 1 year experience milking in a herringbone. All applicants must be in New Zealand with a current work visa, a reliable mode of transportation, and be substance free.  

We are after a Farm Assistant to join the team as our current farm assistant is finishing up after calving. We are a 650 (peak) cow farm. Milking through a 30 a side herringbone shed with cup removers. Farm is flat to rolling contour.
