We are seeking a highly skilled farm manager to run a 600 cow dairy farm at Balfour. The farm has a herringbone cowshed. The farm is well setup and an easy to run property. The successful candidate will be competent in all aspects of farm management including feed, animal health, and staff organaisation skills. We have a 2IC/Herd managers role available.  50 Bale rotary cowshed with ACRs with feedpad.  The successful candidate will have good pasture management and animal health skills and can run the farm for short periods of time in the absence of the farm manager.  You will be working with a competent farm manager and have good support from the farm owner.  You may be an existing dairy assistant or herd manager who is wanting to take the next step.  Please apply online only if you live in New Zealand. 

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Calf Rearer for a fixed-term position from October 2026 to April 2027. This role is with a rural contracting and dairy support business caring for approximately 550 R1 and 550 R2 young stock, as well as around 30 R1 beef animals. Previous calf-rearing or young-stock experience is preferred but not essential. The successful candidate will need to have a genuine interest in animal care and welfare, be observant and reliable, and be willing to learn and follow the farm’s animal health and management procedures.
