Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing. We rear ~70 replacement calves and they stay on farm until 1st May. This is a great opportunity to work with the farm owners and set yourself up for a great career in dairying. Motivated milker required for our lovely herd. You will milk in an 54 bale rotary with acr's. Cups on 05.00am (all set up for you by then) and cups on 2.30pm This is a drive in position. Roster 4 on 6 off (this choice isn't available in the drop down menu"/ 22 hours average We do random drugs tests. We don't tolerate, bullying, racism and animal abuse!!
