We are looking for an relief milker for a 750 cow farm located 10 minutes east of Ashburton. This is a casual drive in position and experience in milking is required as it is a high producing herd, being milked through a 1 person shed. The cows are being milked through a 54 bale rotary with acr and auto teatspray. The roster will be covering the other staffs days off, and will be 4 days on, 6 days off, with the occasional 6 days on, 4 days off, the high producing herd takes around 4 hours to milk in the morning and around 3 hours in the afternoon. Starting times are 5am and 2.30pm. Other duties will include general farm maintance such as fencing, cleaning and tidying.

Upper Balmoral Tekoa Road  This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on a medium size dairy farm. Peak 620 cows, 54 bail rotary, flood wash, modern farm.  Duties may include: Milking and assisting with the day-to-day running of the dairy Feeding and animal care Calf care General farm work and maintenance Helping with seasonal jobs as required We are looking for someone who is  enthusiastic, hardworking, practical and keen to learn . Previous dairy or farming experience is preferred, but we are happy to consider the right agricultural student with a good attitude. The position would suit a Lincoln Student looking to spend their summer gaining practical dairy farming experience. Time off over New Years.
