Due to unforeseen circumstances our small family farm requires a farm assistant to support us this coming season, starting with calving time in August 2026.  Having run the farm over the past eight seasons as a husband & wife duo (plus kids), we're looking for someone to support us in the running of the dairying operation. Consisting of a range of typical dairy farm duties/jobs; including, but not limited to, milking sole-charge, able to work independently, operating a four-wheel motorbike, putting up fences etc. Hours ranging from 20-40 hours per week. Flexible hours and days to suit, and as available. Flexible milking times; last season start 7am, and afternoon milkings 4pm.  This position is a drive-in position. We are looking for a passionate and reliable calf rearer to join our team for this season. We have an opportunity for a casual staff member to help us on our two farms over the calving and mating period (July-Dec). We have two dairy farms both running 300 cows located 10mins North of Morrinsville. The role will mainly involve milking and some small duties either side of milking like collecting cows or cleaning up. The hours will be roughly 20-30hrs per week and are to help during the days staff are rostered off, you will most likely be working directly with the farm owner. I am looking for a drive in calf rearer to rear approx 130-140 calves in Eureka, near Morrinsille and Hamilton. Must be experienced and have an eye for detail. There will be bobby calves to feed as well. Have a milk trailer setup with a pump and hose. There will be relief milking available later in the season if wanted also. Please contact Tony on 0273415986
